The ONE EARTH initiative is kicking off the year with a powerful new alliance.

We are proud to announce the launch of a strategic collaboration cluster with PROMISEANG and VALORISH. The three EU-funded projects will work together to revolutionize waste valorization, biotechnology, and sustainability.

By combining scientific expertise, research breakthroughs, and industry insights, this cluster will accelerate innovation and strengthen the impact of bio-based solutions across multiple sectors.

Why Are These Projects Joining Forces?

At the core of the collaboration is a shared vision: transforming waste into valuable resources while advancing biotechnological solutions that reduce environmental impact.

  • Waste Valorization

We are committed to unlocking the potential of organic by-products by turning industrial waste into high-value products like nutraceuticals, fertilizers, fish feed, and cosmetics.

  • Biotechnological Innovation

Together, we will leverage cutting-edge fermentation and bioprocessing technologies to develop bio-based alternatives that replace traditional, resource-intensive materials.

  • Circular Economy & Sustainability

Our goal is to create a closed-loop system that minimizes waste, enhances resource efficiency, and supports greener production methods in industries such as food, feed, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.

What Will The Cluster Achieve?

This collaboration is more than just a partnership. It’s a coordinated effort to amplify impact through:

✅ Joint Communication & Visibility
Coordinated social media campaigns and cross-project promotion to raise awareness.

✅ Workshops & Webinars
Knowledge-sharing sessions to foster learning and collaboration.

✅ Co-Publications & Research Synergies
Scientific collaborations to drive technological progress.

✅ Policy Engagement
Recommendations and advocacy for sustainable bio-based solutions in EU policy frameworks.

A New Era of Collaboration

By working together, ONE EARTH, PROMISEANG, and VALORISH will maximize the impact of EU research funding, bringing innovative bio-based solutions closer to industry adoption and real-world implementation.

The cluster is open to future collaborations, welcoming additional partners who align with our mission of waste valorization, sustainable bioprocessing, and circular bioeconomy.

Stay tuned for updates as we reshape the future of biotechnology and sustainability.

ONE EARTH kick-off meeting held on 26. June 2024 in Bologna (Italy).
Exciting news! The ONE EARTH project is launching, aiming to revolutionize sustainable practices with innovative bio-based solutions for a circular economy. Thanks to a €3.999 million grant from the Horizon Europe program by the European Commission, we’ve assembled a powerhouse team of top researchers and industry experts from across Europe.

Under ONE EARTH, the consortium partners will be: 💡

💡pioneering innovative bio-based solutions,
💡transforming and valorising residual biomass of animal origin,
💡creating a circular value chain for the cosmetic, agricultural, and feed industries,
💡promoting sustainability and reinforcing the carbon cycle.

Stay tuned as we embark on this sustainable journey!

26. June 2024, Bologna (Italy): The ONE EARTH project is kicking-off to develop innovative bio-based solutions for a sustainable circular economy. Funded from the Horizon Europe program of the European Commission in the amount of €3,999,971.25, it brings together an interdisciplinary and international consortium of leading researchers and industry experts from across Europe.

A four-year long research project, ONE EARTH aims to develop and assess bio-based solutions for nutraceuticals, cosmetics, bioadhesives, fertilizers, and fish feed. By exploiting residual biomass of animal origin from terrestrial and aquatic resources and using terrestrial biomass for aquaculture products, it will create integrated circular value chains. Thus, addressing global sustainability challenges and promoting a self-reinforcing carbon cycle. The ambitious goals are set to generate significant advancements in bio-based product development.
